Matt Elliott, originally from Buffalo New York, has lived in Sheboygan County since 1975. Matt is married to his wife
Nina Elliott and has one son Brandon Riebling who just returned from Iraq.
Matt enjoys teaching law enforcement training classes and martial arts to various departments, groups and Corporations.
He is an avid scuba diver, horse back rider. Matt is a perpetual member of the Sheboygan Masonic Lodge # 11 located in Sheboygan
at 411 St. Clair Ave.
Elliott was a lieutenant for the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections
for 17 years, both in maximum and medium security institutions. He has trained
officers in a wide range of law enforcement skills. Mr. Elliott is a former
police officer certified by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Law Enforcement
Standards Board.
Elliott is certified by the Department of Justice Law Enforcement Training
Standards Board in basic recruit and jail officer training and to instruct in
the use of defensive tactics for jail officers, search of cells and cellblocks,
high-risk vehicle stops, and basic search techniques. He is certified as an
in-service instructor in tactic ap rappelling and ascending and advanced room
clearing. Elliott has trained law enforcement officers throughout Wisconsin.
Matt Elliott has served on the State of Wisconsin Department of Regulations
and Licenses Direct Licensing Enforcement Advisory Committee for Private
Security Persons, the Security Guard Advisory Committee, and the Firearms
Subcommittee until May, 2005, when all the advisory boards were disbanded.
